I have a 1997 Ford Explorer 4.0 Liter Sport so it should fit.

It connects fine to the maf sensor, but when I try to connect the maf sensor to the rubber intake tube the rubber intake tube is too wide. I cannot just clamp it on as the rubber tube is too wide.

I can't understand how you guys install yours when the tube is too wide.

Please can anybody help my intake is apart at the moment and I need to go somewhere in a few hrs.

Thanks

I'm confused. You're having problems connecting the MAS to the stock intake tube? It should be the exact same connection as stock, nothing should change on that side of the MAS, only the filter side.

That is not true. The mas sensor is inside of the mas housing. You need to install the rubber intake tube to the mas sensor when you are upgrading to the k&n charger intake.

Anyways I just took an old belt and cut it to fit and that solved the width difference.

Um, ok.

Guess you have a different airbox than I did.
