My 97 Explorer has the tow package but when I bought it there wasn't a wiring harness. Ford installed the wiring harness later but now I see there isn't a plug for the wiring harness adapter under my dash for the brake control module. I tried installing it but it won't work. I connected the blue (brake) wire to the cold side of the brake switch module as stated on the instruction sheet for my Accu brake control module. Is this the correct wire to splice into? There are 2 green wires coming out of the module and one is hot and the other isn't until the brake is pushed. Any help would be appreciated. On my brake controller I get a flashing red LED when the brake is applied and no trailer connected. However, with the trailer connected I don't see any light and no braking action on the trailer.

Couldn't help you much but do you have a wiring diagram for it? I'm sure we could help you figure out which wire runs to the control module.
