ok so everything was fine with the truck and all of the sudden the interior lights will not turn off unless i pull the assory(sp) fuse and i have no clue as to why this would be. wondering if any of you had a similar incident and know what the fix would be at first i thought it might be the remote starter but i disconnected that and still on going. please help

you are going to love this, lol...put your fuse back in, roll your windows up and get a can of wd40 with the straw...start with your drivers door...from the outside pull the handle up and where the handle goes thru the door, squirt a little wd40 in both those slits...open the door and just work the outside handle a few times...go to the passenger door and do the same....thats all there is to it...good luck...:D

damn thats it is this a commen problem for older trucks

actually, i just noticed you have a 94 so you don't have the door ajar, handle activated lights...it will be generally, your drivers door, your rear hatch door, your passenger door, or the light control...these are all switches...if your 94 is staying on all the time, can you turn the knob to where it clicks on and off for interior lighting???

that does nothing to help it it stays on no matter what unless the fuse is pulled

sorry, read my last post...

read your last post and it doesnt make alot of sense i replied that the light stays on even when you play with all the switches

Roll it off a cliff, and buy the wife a new ride. She'll love you in the end.

i'm thinking he fixed it....

1) when you turn the knob do you here it click???

i am going to save us both about a week here...it is a problem with a faulty switch....the most common is your headlight/interior switch...next is the latch switch in the drivers side of the fifth (rear) door...lastly, one of your other door switches...i myself would replace in that order...i hope this helps you in resolving your problem...good luck...

yes i get a click on the light control switch in the cab how easy is it to change said switch in the drivers side door and are you talking about the little post that sticks out when the door is open and is pushed in when the door is closed?

its a little pain to change...the switches on the little post at the doors i would check probably last...the one at your rear hatch door is actually in the drivers side catch in that door...

where is that sensor located in the catch as that has been giving me problems and not shutting right and coming loose that may be the cause
