Welcome aboard.... Ya gotta help us with this one; what are your goals for the truck?

Welcome again. Exactly what aldive said. What are your goals? Off road? Speed? Etc?

i knew i forgot something im sorry i was looking for off roading ability with out losing too much speed and once again any help is welcomed and appreciated

maybe i should also mention its an automatic and i plan to keep it that way

What price range. For cheap you could put on a 3" Body lift and put 31-32's under it. That is how I started. More expensive is doing the 4" susp. lift and puting on 33's.

92kenny, i got a cousin in schaumburg, im from elgin and im at purdue. check out our local midwest site at midwest-explorers.com, also you think you'd be interested in coming to Michigan silver lake sand dunes on oct 11th, well leave late that night and offroad all day saturday. If you got 4wd its a great place to go, you wont get any damage and any stock truck will handle it. It looks like we got a significant number of people going.

Well first I would say start with a good base. Fix any mechanical problems and change the proper fluids before starting to Mod. Make sure everything is working properly to avoid and little surprises down the road.

Always want to start with a solid platform.

not sure what the price range is yet have to get a few pay checks to see first but after that im guessing around $4500 wouldnt be too too bad course id have to get the u-joints replaced first

I would stay away from body lifts unless that's all you can afford. I would go with the 5.5" Superlift suspention lift or the 6" Skyjacker. You might want to consider swapping to manual hubs if you haven't yet. Next your going to need a locker. And if you lif your truck and put bigger tires on it I'm sure you will want your speed back so you should do an after market exhaust (flowmaster), Intake (K&N or KKM), and a chip. That should take care of your $4.5k. Any questions, let them fly!

thanks for all the suggestions i have to go to work now but please the more the merrier so keep those responses flowing
