Help - need advice! Replace timing tensioners only, or chains too?

Out of curiosity, how did you end up cutting it and was it a pain to get out? I looked briefly at mine and figured I could cut it easily enough but wasn't sure I'd be able to get it off without removing the crank sprocket.

I couldn't get to it with bolt cutters, so I used a Dremel. I stuffed a rag under it to catch most of the shavings. Once it's cut, it flops right off the crank sprocket, and it won't matter if the balance shaft turns a bit when you pull it off. Easy peasy!

Good deal, thanks!
