Help please - Rough running and gas smell problem

I have a 98 XLT with the 302 motor.
My check engine light is on, I think because of 02 sensor.

Once last week, when I went to start the motor, it would not keep running unless I fed it gas, but then it ran fine after a few seconds. I though it just had gotten some bad gas.

Now, a week later, same thing happened, but now running fine again. However, now I'm smelling gas in the vehicle.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Fuel Pressure Regulator

Your fuel pressure regulator is bad. It's sending too much fuel to the injectors. I'm not too familiar with the 302 fuel injected motor, but it has a regulator. If it goes long enough the O2 sensor will go bad too. Go to advance auto and get a new regulator.

might as well change out the O2 sensors also, they are causing the CELight, and because of the FPR being obviously bad, are now covered in a coating of thick rich carbon.
