I have a 2000 explorer xlt v8 and i m stumped. I m reading obd codes p0303 p0173 but i know what the codes mean and i v delt with them. No i v replaced the o2 sensor bank 1 all plugs and wires and the ignition coils (2). I still have the misfire in 3 (p0303) all motor craft parts spark gapped 0.54 its not the plugs not the wirers and not the coil pack?

P0173 is a lean code, not ignition or O2 related.
Check for a leak in the intake or a failed fuel injector.

Search closely throughout all the vacuum lines for any cracks or loose connections BEFORE replacing any parts next time...

I'd say the OP was on the right track trying to fix a misfire code. Combined with the lean code for the same bank, I think it is possible the #3 fuel injector is failing.

Have you checked the fuel pressure?
