HELP! seat belt buckle...

the button on my seat belt buckle doesn't spring back to its original position and doesn't lock the belt..i'm trying to get this thing off by trying to unscrew the nut..its not turning. is that the way the buckle comes out? and if any of you have a tan buckle for a 91-94 explorer i'll take it. thanks

Try calling Ford , I know a few OEM's cover seatbelts against defects for the "life" of the vehicle . Dunno if they would cover it but a call will tell you yes or no .

thanks lemondrop..i dropped by one of the ford dealers..they discontinued the part and i would have to special order and wouldn't be guarranteed the color i need..so i went to a junkyard and scraped one of the many they had for $30..i did figure out how to replace it so no need for further help..thanks
