Suburban got stuck getting out of my building, 96 Explorer made it cause it has Posi rear I guess. Anyhow, we have been snowed in for 2 days. Made it out today to get diesel fro neighbor's tractor cause he was on it 5 hours digging us out and Explorer was all that could make it 1.5 miles to town. Heater blower worked fine to there and back. Went to try to get to town again and front blower motor would not work. Rear one in console does. Problem is the windows fog within 4-6 minutes because of human breathing. SO, this is the only vehicle we have for transport as the cars will not make it anywhere and it us unusable because of fogging. I did a few hours of searching and testing. I have 12V to the 50A maxi fuse for the blower in the power dist. center under hood. I do not have 12V from the pink/ white on blower motor connector to ground. This tells me the positive side of the blower motor electrical is bad. I understand there are 2 relays, both on the positive and negative side. I know one of the relays are behind the pass. headlight in the holder that has 3 relays. (can anyone tell me which relay that is and also where the other one is?) So, given I cannot get to town to get anything I have the Explorer in my heated garage and can hopefully diagnose it and runa temporary jumper wire or something. (we have power, Inlaws on farm have not had power for 2 days) My ultimate question is does anyone have the HVAC wiring diagram section like this one I found for a 1999? Thanks in advance for any help. I am 44 and this is the most snow I have seen in my lifetime.

Could you run a jumper wire from the battery or the fuse box to the one you think should be hot?

Or you could pull out the backseat blower and check the readings on those wires.

Going to try adding power to the pink/ white in a bit. From what I understand from the searches I have done that wire should have +12V at all times and the ground side gets the different resistances switched in from changing the fan switch. I am pretty sure I need to chase down why there is no +12V on the pink/ wht wire at the motor. Problem is the conenctor is molded to the wires so I would need to poke through the wire insulation itself. Truck wa outside all day in 9 degree cold and still waiting for the wiring to warm up. Vehicles this old the wiring insulation tends to crack open when you unplug and bend old wiring around at this temp. Not sure tearing the console apart to get to the rear blower would be productive as it works and I assume I will find it to have the proper +12V to the blower and variable resistance on the ground side based on fan speed switch. Not sure what that would tell me toward the front blower issue?

It would tell you if the pink/white wire does in fact have 12 volts to it like you suspect from the front one, unless you know for sure it is supposed to have 12 volts.

I found an old manual I believe iss for a 96. You should have a 50 amp maxi fuse in the PDB, that you said you have. You should also have a 7.5 amp fuse in your inside fusebox that goes to the blower relay. Did you check that one?

Hi, do you have automatic temperature control?

Yes, fuse # 6 is good. Also, it does not have ATC. Just standard knob controls. Thanks for the input guys.
