Help sync'ing iPod through USB in '08 X

Just picked up my new '08 limited. There is Microsoft Sync software for voice control etc. In addition to an AUX jack in the center console there is a USB port. Apparently you can play songs on a flash drive or MP3 player through the USB port. My iPod will play through the AUX jack but not through the USB port. I'm thinking its because the software in the car is Microsoft based. Anyone out there know how to get the iPod to work through the USB port?

The USB won't work with an IPOD because it isn't a mass storage device. A simple external HDD would work fine, I think. I got my '08 right before the SYNC system came out, so I can't test that.

Welcome to the site! You can buy an aftermarket ipod adapter, but i'm sure microsoft will set up wireless connectivity with the zune. Perhaps it would be a good idea to convert!
