you must use DIN tool removers... they cost like $3 at wal*mart..... they are u shaped metal pieces that go in the headunit and lock into place, they unlike the track the headunit sits in and allows removal.....

some people have said you can use coat hangars, but its $3 and the din tools work a lot better because they actually have little hooks to pull the stereo out with

You can take it out from the back too if you pull the bezel out. Much easier to use the little tools though.

I need help too

I have bought the din removal tools but when i put them in and pull out and push them away from each other it just pulls on the dash, I was told that with the 93 that i didnt need to remove the dash but i am thinking that they were wrong. please help.

hey 93vrmontx, you dont need to take the whole dash out. the deck i took out was out of a 93, but i didnt use the DIN tool i cut up a coat hanger and used that. you kinda have to jiggle it around some and you will feel it kinda slide into place, thats what i felt anyways. after all four were locked into the little clips on the deck, it came out nice and easy.

Sometimes you have to play with them a little to get them to lock in before it will come out.
