help tranny shift problem

I have 92 4x4 xlt... tranny was rebuilt some time ago, it works fine except for when it shifts from 1st to second gear. it revs up and I let off gas a second then it will catch and go into second... sometimes when cold out or first shift of trip it will do it fine., sometimes i have to let it rev down alot to gas and get it to shift... any idea's

hey welcome to the site!!

im not up on the 94 and earlier autos but it sounds like the vaccum modulator...except i would think that would happen in all gears if it was....might want to see if that was replaced when the rebuild was done...it should have been since they arent very expensive, somewhere between 30-60 bucks.

good luck w/ your repair and maybe someone else has info for ya....also do a search for your symptoms cause there is buku information on here about your problem that others have had.
