Help transfer case 97 mount

Anyone please help is there a transfer case that will swap out with my 97 mount would really like to be able to get low but main problem is it is clunking and banging under load

Ok so been reading maybe i need ask i differant ? 97 mount when under load it makes a clunk in the front end almost like something is slipping then grabs and releases and clunks more does anyone have and ideas

the 97 mountaineer is AWD with a viscous coupling. this coupling allows a power shift from front to rear while steering. unless you have severe chain wear it shouldnt clunk.

I wouldnt be surprised if the problem was instead with your front axle
