My electric fan came today and I pulled the stocker off. This thing won't fit! The end of the fan motor is hitting the stud on the water pump pulley where the stock fan bolts to. I've got a couple pics attached. Anybody have any ideas? I'm thinking trim the shroud..

You need at least 1" of clearance between the two the body flexes opposite of the frame and the fan will hit the waterpump pulley with it like that.

You can try to off center the fan, move the radiator and AC stuff forward or find a fan that fits....

Ouch.. this is a Mark VIII and was used by another member on the board, but he had a BL. I see why he had no problems. How would I move the rad foward?

I suppose this wouldn't be safe?

Just a theory but maybe try it as a pusher instead of a puller. Maybe? just tossin my 2 cents in.

All done! It cools like the stock fan! Oh wait, that's because I put the stock fan back on  Guess I've got a fan for sale.
