95' Ford Explorer Limited
Hi,
I'm Brandon a new member to this forum. I have me a 95' ford exlporer limited. I took out the adjuster bolts on my torsion bars to lower my front end a little bit. I did not do anything to the back yet, if I do at all.

But ever since I lowered the front end my ARC (Adjustable Ride Control) is always try to level, so the compressor is going most of the time. I tried resetting my ECU to see if that helped and it didn't.

Can I turn my air ride system off by that switch in the back and drive like that with out hurtting anything? Or is there any thing else that can be done? I am thinking about lowering the rear 1.5"-2" (MAYBE) If someone could help me out that would be great?

Thanks,
Brandon

you can use the switch to turn it off.... it might ride harsher, but you will jsut have to deal with it....

i have a 95 limited too.... you have opened a very complex can of worms.

I'm going to dig up some threads me/'ak ltd explorer' wrote up about the Arc system. Basically what you have on each axle is a shock-type-looking resistor. hrm... just read the threads.

ONE PROBLEM... because the other guy (referred to as AK in a lot of the posts) who was posting information got banned from the site, all of his posts went byebye... it might not make a lot of sense at times.
