Help with ignition

Not sure if this is the right forum, but my '02 Explorer XLS is having a problem: the key will not come out of the ignition. The car still runs fine, and the ignition can be turned on and off, but the key simply will not come out. Can anyone help me?

Mine has issues with the key coming out as well. You have to have the steering wheel in the correct position to get it out, in my case perfectly straight. I can also not turn the key the opposite way to just turn on the radio. I think my whole iginiton needs replacing.

Your ignition core probably just needs to be replaced. Mine was replaced last year b/c I couldn't get the key to go in the ignition...
