You can do a torsion twist and shackles for a small suspension lift and you could probably make the body lift for the first gens work on yours. Try the search function and see what others have used.

I think the part number for the second gen body lift is PA883. It says it is for a ranger but will fit your ex.

explorer#2 please dont take this the wrong way but...

why is it you always say "use the search" in everyones thread i mean if you dont want to be helpful, then dont post

thanks

He's probably just tired of seeing a thousand post a month dealing with "I can't find a lift" - when it's be discussed numerous times. I know I get tired of it and that's why I don't post in all of them I let someone else point them to the search function.

I do, however, agree that he could of been nicer about it - I usually say "we have a great search function" to try and hint at what needs to happen.

NOTE: any future post about using the search function in this thread will be deleted - any post should stick with the origional question. Thank you.

that is all i am saying thanks drew

back on topic what kind of lift kit you looking for and is it a 2 or 4 wheel drive. what kind of offroading you plan on doing???

Lift

I Plan On Doing Trails And Minor Rocks. It Is A Four Wheel Drive And It Is Too Low To The Ground Stock. I Found A Four Inch Lift But Still Think I Want A Bit More.

check out my cardomain in my signiture =D i did a suspension lift... super lift is the only brand that i found to make lift kits for 98 explorers you can find them on any site really also if u lift with a suspension u will need a new drive shaft that you can get threw superlift aswell

good luck

SEARCH!!!

This thread does not need a HELP!!!! headline, save that for people who have a broken down truck and need to get to work....

i agree use the search but to just get it over with you can do the following.

Purchase a Trailmaster or superlift 4" kit...trialmaster is better since superlift uses spacers on the spindle. THen you have four inches in the front and rear. If you want more then do a torsion bar twist and add warrior shackles to the rear. IFFFF you still want more... then a 2" or 3" body lift will work for you. Get the 98 newer ranger kit. The install on the lift will run you a grand give or take, the shackles body lift and TT you can do yourself. Have a breaker bar handy if you dont have air tools for the Body Lift. When all is done chech re check the re-check again. Drive it a bit, then re-check everything. When i mean everything i seriously mean everything, every bolt you touched go over it, check brake lines, linkages steering. trust me it will get expensive fast. With this set up you should be able to run 35''s with a rear front fender trim i believe...anyone correct me if im wrong. Other than that go for an SAS.......It ultimatly will be cheaper to do an SAS but your rig will be out of commision for a bit. Im in the planning stages right now and its more work than the lift kit. Hope this helps. But from now on please use the search so nobody grinds on ya.

good luck
