2007 ST LTD 4.6V8.
At first I tried just removing the factory resonator. I also added a K&N FIPK which really added a lot to the sound. It did sound good this way, but under WOT it would make a rushing air sound that was annoying. So in search of a Flowmaster sound without all of the annoying drone all of the time, I discovered the 70 series muffler. It isnt used a lot on Ford's and there wasnt a whole lot of videos on youtube with one. SO I figured I'd try it out. It works well. It is a large 3 chamber muffler designed to sound good under WOT and part throttle but while cruising on the highway, there is NO drone and no annoying noise.
Here's a video of the truck with just the resonator removed and the cold air intake.

With either one make sure you have good speakers or headphones on. Otherwise, they sound like crap.
