Hey guy's and gals, I'll start of by introducing myself. I'm Sean, from the Phoenix area in AZ. I bought a 99 XLT, 4.0 sohc with 4wd and 120k miles. Got it cheap, $400 with a hole in the side of the transmission. Plucked a nice tranny from the junk yard for $100, freshened it up a bit and got her running. I scrap catalytic converters, so I chopped the stocks out, netted $1020 for those, and built a 2.5" header back exhaust. So I'm still up about $500 on this thing! I plan on making this a comfortable daily that'll handle most off-roading, just no rock crawling.
Just want to say thanks to everyone who's contributed, as I've already used a lot of information from these forums, and I'm sure I'll be using it plenty more!
