Just wanted to say hi from NJ ! Just found your site via Google and WOW it as a lot of info on it!.

Just bought a 3rd gen 2005 Ford Explorer XLT (Black exterior). Wow, what a beauty!!! Now if I could only convince the wife if I could raise it 6 inches and put 36's on it !!

that lift is going to run you 5,000 plus dollars on that truck if you want 6 inches and 36's cause u got to change the gloried 4wheel drive grand caravan and swap to solid axles front and rear...then and only then you can get that amount of lift but other than that...if she is willing and if you know a good welder i say go for it heck it would be the first one on this site i think...but...welcome to the forum. from NC
