hi everyone. i have a 98 sport, and this is what i plan on doing if it is possible. my truck did not have fog lights from factory, but all the wiring is there. awhile back i parted out a 00 XLT that had fog lights, but the bumper was toast. so i grabbed the bezel that had the factory switch in it, and the fog light wire harness that goes from the plug by the frame, to the fog lights. i just got a pair of angel eye fog lights (well, they call them driving lights) that have a H3 bulb in them. i am going to cut a hole on both sides of the bumper, wield in some round tubing, and mount them in the bumper (i don't like the bumpers from the 99 and up, and hate the square fogs). now this is were i am kind of lost. i would like to put HID's in the fog lights (i have HID's in my head lights) and i have two spare ballast sitting in my shed from my first HID kit. can i just get a pair of H3 HID's and plug them into the stock wire harness plug? i can get a pair of H3 HID bulbs from www.vvme.com for $6. i am just not sure if the plugs are the same. hope i have not confused anyone trying to explain this!

You could have saved money and not gotten the fog wiring kit and just used the HID kit & wired it directly to the battery. I think it will work though. It's definitely worth the 6$ just to try it, it would end up saving you a handful of change

the only thing that i have spent is for the fog lights. the ballasts are from the first HID kit that i had from my head lights. the harness that i have is stock from a truck i parted out.
