High Performance EDIS Coil Pack 1989-99 Ford & Mustang

1989-1999 Ford EDIS MAXX Performance E-PX Coil Pack

MAXX Performance E-PX Coils are a direct replacement for OEM coils and produce 10% more spark energy. All MAXX Performance coils feature American engineered high tech bobbins, high temperature shock resistant epoxy, magnetically optimized silicone steel cores and use brass contacts to further enhance the transfer of spark energy to the spark plug.

Primary Resistance: 0.5 Ohms
Secondary Resistance: 11.6 k Ohms
Turns Ratio: 85:1
Maximum Voltage: 42,000 Volts
Peak Increase in Energy vs. OE: 11%
Peak Increase in Voltage vs. OE: 8%
Peak Increase in Arc Duration vs. OE: 7%
Peak Increase in Current vs. OE: 9%

Will not work in some late model 1999 applications

Those are not providing a better spark on regular spark plugs without increasing the spark plug gap.

On modern "fine tip" spark plugs (0.6mm platinum or iridium) the required voltage to produce the ignition is reduced by 30% from the normal plugs, and therefore a "stronger" ignition than stock is just... useless.
