I was just looking over some posts where some of you said you had a grinding/squealing noise coming from the alternator area of the engine. It usually happens when it's cold, right? Nothing major is wrong!
When I switched out the engine I got to looking at the tensioner pully. There is a spring that sometimes contacts the inside of the pully giving you that nasty grind. At first it will only happen when it's cold, but as the spring ages it will happend more frequently. Just get new tensioner pully.
I just live w/ it. It isn't as annoyning now that I know it isn't a major engine malfunction.
