High pressure port

Where is the high pressure port on my ac system ? 2005 ford explorer xlt sport trac 4.6. I am replacing the compressor and dryer but i cannot find the high pressure port to evacuate and charge. Low pressure is easily visible.

I'm pretty sure the '05 and '04 will be the same. The high side is right by the battery, near the radiator. But you can't miss it on my '04. It has a black cap and a line leading from the compressor.

That's where it is on my stock '04 set-up anyway.

OP has either year or engine wrong. Probably 4.6L engine listed wrong since this thread was placed in 2001-05 Gen 1 sub forum.

If it's not an '05 Sport Trac, then the high side will still be off the compressor; it should be fairly easy to find since it's a service port.
