going to help my friend replace the 2.9 in his '88BroncoII with a 4.0 out of a early 90's explorer. Also, Bronco had manual transmission putting automatic out of same vehicle. I have been told this is basically a bolt in exchange but would appreciate someone pointing me to resources regarding this job; particularly in regards to marrying the old wiring system to the new engine. My friend has the complete wiring system and computer out of the explorer (that the engine/trans came from)as well as fuel pump, radiator(for trans cooler),transfer case,etc. Thanks in advance!
