My 93 explorer recently had a series of vacuum leaks and im having trouble finding the last one i think.
Brake pedal hisses when applied. Pedal is kinda soft and takes about 4 pumps to get it stiff when the car is off but still hisses when its as stiff as it will get, which i can still move the pedal a little when the hissing occurs. Idle also rises when i pump the pedal repeatedly at a complete stop. High idle 1,000rpm with new iac plugged in and hangs at 1800 between gears or until ive stopped completely. idle stays at 1100 when new iac is unplugged. Also ive noticed the pedal is stiff sometimes when i first get in it, without pressing the pedal to give it actual pressure with my foot. Bad brake booster maybe?
