pretty interesting.

great find!
that pretty much clears up all the little differences between each year and model that seem to always come up. now when ever any one asks when the SOHC went from 205 HP to 210 or when they started offering the XLS or what was available on a particular year's mountanieer it's all right there!

thats awesome! i didnt know that you could ever get a v6 mounty untill i read that. i thought that all of them were v8 AWD.

....Yeah, 99% are V8 AWD...

Great Article!

One of the captions says that it is a 1995 Eddie Bauer, but the picture shows a sport.

I think the article says that the '95 2 doors came in 3 flavors: XL, Sport, and Eddie Bauer  ...sounds fishy to me, but then again i'd never heard of a v6 mounty...

I've never seen any of the Eddie Bauer Sports other than a few 1st generation ones...and those seem to be a rare find.

Mountaineers came with the SOHC as well as the 5.0

I have seen 2 door Eddie Bauers, not sure about Gen II ones however.....

Oops, I never have heard of an Eddie Bauer sport model. You learn somethin' new every day. I will have to read that whole article so I know all of the model differences :)

my friend has a 98 v-6 mounty

2 door Eddies are super rare. I have only ever seen a 1st Gen one. Never a 2nd gen.

Pretty good reading!! Good find!! I've seen several 2-door eddies. One of them in a junk yard :( They never made a second gen Eddie. They forgot to mention the Expedition model for them in '95. Forgot about the Sport Trac(still has "Explorer" in its name;)) But its hard to find all the facts for a 14 year old vehicle down to each detail. Atleast someone recognizes us!! :D

Yeah, 2Door eddie bauers are pretty rare...and Only in first Gens.....

That pic is of a 2 door Sport.....

i emailed the author of the article and, after thanking him for a job well done, asked about the 1995 2 door eddie bauer thing.
I'm pretty sure it's a mistake but since he actaully states it in the article and not just in the picture caption I wanted to make sure.
either way, like IAmTodd says, it's pretty thorough and accuarte for such a topic

You mean to tell me my 1996 with a V6 engine only gets 160 horsepower?? I thought it was 195. Shucks.

hint

Yup! Just what I went through too. But if you though thats what 195hp felt like, then wait till you hit 240:p :D
