Two dealerships and mechanic can't diagnose. Any chuck hole or bump....accelerating too fast, or even turning/accelerating sharply results in loss of power along with a grinding sound best described as gears turning to gelatin--not a metallic sound--. The problem goes away every time when the vehicle is stopped, turned off and then on again. I am told the transmission is fine and one shop said the starter was engaging. New starter installed and problem still exists. Anyone familiar with this?

Could be the Yaw Rate Sensor, thinking you would see a RSC.
The noise you hear could be the ABS motor cycling.

Of course, this is from a few minutes of searching on this site.

Search RSC on this site, could be the issue.
