hey yall. so Ive been wanting to lift my x since i got it. I made a set of homemade 2 inch shackles, using the existing shackles and a few strips of thick metal. and.ive been thinkin about buying front spacers, but I couldnt justify paying 130 dollars for daystar ones, espcially since poly is supposed to sag after a while. I found a few other cheap ones on ebay, but they just looked ****ty, for 40 bucks I figured I could make a better set. so I stole a few pieces of this tough teflon type material they use for panels on boats and cutting boards. all used was a drill press, a few hole saws and a file. I think they came out pretty good. supposedly the daystar spacers are about 1.3 inch thick, so I made mine the same thickness, and thats supposed to give about 2in of lift. im gonna installl them and put it all back together again tonight, hopefully, so ill let yall know how it goes. they took about an hour or so to make, of you can get your hands on some.of this stuff, its probably aboyt the cheapest way to make good spacers, luckily my grandpas got a lotta ****, so mine were free
lemme know what ya think, ill post pics too
