Hood mount

I tried a search and didnt come up with anything...Has anyone tried to make a hood mount tire rack?Or atleast thought about it? Gimme any thoughts..Thanks

My thoughts.....If you're talking safari style, flat on the hood,....well, you'd seriously block a large chunk of your forward vision. No matter how small of a tire you are running. But it would probably LOOK cool!

This was discussed very briefly in another thread. Maybe if you have a 3" body lift, you could dish the hood to mount the spare 2.5" or 3" lower compared to normal hood height. But you'd probably need to reinforce the hood a little to support the weight of an oversize off-road tire. :smoke:

Man... When I'm climbing up hill I already feel like I'm blind to the ground. I can't even imagine having a 32x11" tire in my way to block the little view that is there!!

True ,forward visibility...Well Ill just lay a tire up there and see what it looks like, he he..
