[sorry if my english is not perfect - I don't have to many occasions to use it]
bought five years ago as stock 1st gen explorer from 1994
after those years we have:
2" suspension lift
1,5" body lift
BFG AT tires on 31x10, 5x15
wheels repainted in black (after chrome was eaten by rust)
all seats were replaced with other from 2nd gen explorer
additional gauges (oil temp gearbox, engine oil pressure, engine temp)
2.5 cm wheel spacers
rear shock absorbers - Gabriel (with springs)
front shock absorbers - KYB
leaf spring - regenerated
Flowmaster 44 muffler
Exhaust Cut-out
wooden steering wheel - Nandi Torrino
transmission repaired by myself - after Torque Converter breakdown
with a friendly mechanic we removed old rust - fenders and fuel filler were eaten by rust
back of the car was partially replaced with parts taken from 2nd gen explorer
after car repainting I was searching for way to make my car a little bit different from others 1st gen explorers.
I found "hot wheels F150" on the web and my 5 years old son approved this project
now it's like a toy car
look of kids faces when they see it - priceless
other thing is that guys are eternal kids - only toys are bigger and now I have mine!
shortly after bouht
one of the first modifications - additional lights
wheels changed and stickers removed + first idea to change look of my explorer
rust, rust, rust...
front before
front after refubrish
back
new toys
during body lift
first test drive
and here it is
