If anyone is interested in a trail ride at windrock mountain area in Oliver Springs. It is about a half hour northwest of Knoxville. They have many trails from rough paved to rock crawling. I atv there several times a year and see jeeps, toyotas and rail buggies there. If we have enough we could divide into groups depending on skill and equipment. It is about 15 minutes from Oak Ridge that has nice resturaunts and good lodging available. Lets get some dates mentioned and see what happens.

Im interested.

lets gop ahead and set this up for march... way to cold to go wheeling and spend the night for those who would want to camp.

March should give us time to get several together. Tere is camping in the parking lot. It is not allowed in the trail area although from what I have seen some people do it.

no you can camp along the main road past the parking lot.... you just cant stop on the side of a trail to camp is all they are wanting to avoid. People have a tendency to not get far enough off the trails and end up causing problems.

I'd be interested possibly.... FYI, a SFWDA "Dixie Run" will be held there the last weekend in April and I do plan to be at that.

i'd be interested. it looks to be a 4 hr drive or more but that's cool. i've heard its a lot of fun there. i would also like to put a tellico and a north ga trip together sometime soon. gerald.. are you a sfwda member?

Nope, there aren't any local clubs for me to join that would make me a member. I didn't join directly at the last Dixie Run they held in Tellico; I'll probably do it if I go to the next one at Windrock.

I am going wheeling with a nissan crew at turkey bay Feb 6-8... contact me if you are interested in attending so i know to look for you and get you soem contact info.

When are talking about scheduling this trip? I may be interested depending when it is, due to my technical problems I'm having right now.

I may be in for this, I have family in Lake city

so lets work on a date...

I will be in AZ for a week wheelin at the second week in March so how about the last weekedn in march to give the most time to warm up and get our run together?

So saturday the 27th? That would work for me. Lets get a list with abilities and how modified the explorer going. I have had several 4 wheel drives and trail ride several times a year. I will have 33x12.5x15 mud terrian tires by then. Currently 4.10's with posi front and rear. 2 inch body lift and 1 1/2 suspension lift.

Sat. March 27th? Im up for it. I have to get my locker in, SOA, front skid plate and possible snorkel.

Snorkel, I thought it was a trail ride not diving. Just kidding that will look good, I have not seen any holes or creeks that are that deep.

well if you trust your snorkel i can get you over the hood water at Coal Creek.

I should be on 31's with a 2" TT/shackle lift and a front locker and rear Posi.

Im probably just going to get the locker in and the skid plate done. Ill do SOA later. I really want to do a snorkel but not sure. I just need to find away to get my intake highest as possible in my engine bay for now. Oh by the way, is the 27th on a weekend?

I'm in altough I doubt I'll be ready to trail ride. I probably won't have all of it done. I'll ride shotgun with "N2FORD" not "IN2FORD"..that's me, but "N2FORD".
