How can i tell if my 1993 Ford explorer XLT 4x4 has keyless entry?

Hey everyone I was wondering if my 93 explorer xlt 4x4 has keyless entry is there a way to tell by a number on the vin or something?

I believe the keyless unit is visible under the dash(or behind a cargo cover in the rear).

Someone will chime in with better info, I’m sure.

Its usually located behind the interior panel, driver side, in the cargo area. You can usually see the black box in front of the removable panel that has the tire iron mounted to it. You can make your own keyless entry with any decent alarm and some relays. Mine came with keyless entry, but I removed it when installing a Cobra alarm. Your Explorer is the 5 wire type. All the door lock wiring can be accessed through the driver side kick panel.
