how do i bridge my amp?

i m new to this audio stuff..

i got a sony 2-channel 2200gtx amplifier..

it runs 500W RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms in bridged mode..

my manual does not explain abt bridged mode at all.. how do i bridge the amp??

all help would be appreciated..

On the outputs, there will be a Left (+) and Left (-), and of course, a Right (+) and Right (-). Below THOSE markings, on the Left channel, there will be a [-], and the Right will have the [+] marking....


Left channel, use the [-], and the Right Channel, use the [+]....you have just bridged your amp.

ok i got it, i gotta use + on the left speaker output and - on the right speaker output..

that is what the manual on the site says.. right?
i am a bit confused since the manual says that way but Spdrcer34 said i should do - on left and + on right...

please correct me

in all actuallity.....it doesn't matter if you use R +, or L +.....just as long as you use the OPPOSITE for the other lead going to the speaker...

But since your manual says to do it that way, follow the manual.

Not all amps are bridgeable. Read your manual.
