how do i get this off

hello so the person that had this truck before me did some real bad bodywork (if you can call it that) and when they tried to touch up the paint around the gas door they got it everywhere (except around the gas door) and i would like to clean it up abit if possible. can i get the new paint off without messing up the paint under it...

i can not tell that much from the picture as it is a real close up pic, but depending on how bad it really is the best option is probably to just scuff and paint the whole quarter panel if that is a option you are willing to do (most professional appearance IMO)

hit it w/some 320g sandpaper then hit it w/some wax & grease remover, look for any low spots and fill in as needed. then re-sand/refill till you get the contour/appearance you desire, then hit it w/some more wax & grease remover, let that dry and wash w/a mild detergent and fresh water (hose) let it air dry (dont touch the area w/your bare hands anymore, a clean surface is the best surface). And then spray accordingly.

that is what i would do. not sure if you have the time & patients for that. That would yeild the best results.



on a side note, i looked to see if you had any other pictures of the area so i could better answer you and saw something fun....

hey sorry about the picture took it with my phone i will try to get a better picture today.as far as your recommendation thats what i figured i guess i should get to work.....
and flip cups yeah we dont mess around with teams and if we do we play with alot more cups
