How does a lift effect allignment?

I'm getting new tires tomorrow afternoon and wanted to go ahead and do the TT/shackles. My situation is though, that Tuesday I have a couple hundred mile drive to go on, and wanted to wait about a week to get a professional allignment, so the suspension has time to settle. Now, my alignment is already horrible, the tires toe out real bad ( like this: / \). Will a lift make this even worse, or will it straighten them back out a bit?

It's really hard to tell exactly what the alignment will do, but a lift will probably make it worse. My suggestion is to wait to do the TT/shackles until after your trip.
