The inner and outer cone bearings ride on their own races therefore no actual moving parts contact the spindle. So my question is how does spindle wear occur? I have read posts and viewed pictures of bearings fused to spindles. I believe a large force or overly tightened bearings cause the bearings to compress the outer race so much that it begins to rotate around the spindle. Any thoughts?
