How hard is replacing the waterpump on a 1996?

I have a 4.0 1996 Explorer Sport and it is leaking antifreeze from the waterpump. I have more time than money so I was thinking about tackling this myself. Opinions?

Any special tools I will need? or other recommendations?

You need to remove the fan..thus a fan removal tool. (makes things easier)

Fan removal tool is almost a must. I've replaced my water pump on my 1996 5.0 several times (bought one from napa that had a weld break on the inside, caught it before anything serious happened), so make sure you buy a good water pump so you won't have to do it again.
