How many cans of 134A it takes?

Hi, brought a used AC compressor couple of days ago and filled it with 3 cans of 134A and the next day it needed another 1 additional can and need another can this morning in order to stop the compressor from constantly clicking and stopping. Kind of expensive on these 134A.

After replacing the compressor, did you properly evacuate (vacuum) the system?

Either you have a pretty big leak or you now have way to much R134 in the system.
The compressor is supposed to cycle based on evap temp and system pressure.
If it's not cycling under normal operation, something is wrong.

Once the system is opened or component replacement, you must have the system evacuated and then recharged.
