Im over 270,000 miles on my 91 Ex. I'm a big believer of preventive maintenance. I've replaced so many things on my Ex not because they broke, but because I love reliability. I want my truck to be in great running order when it his 25 years old. So how many miles does your Ex have?

almost 500k km on my 98 all original drivetrain always take care of the maintenance

Well the body and most of the drivetrain is around 250K or more , Motor has around 105K and trans is unknown .

94' Ex Limited -140,000 She's just get'n started. What a peach!

Just hit 160,000 Miles.
I too believe preventive maintenance is key. Best part is you can never over do it.

97 sport- 136k like every says its all about preventative maintenance. still running strong and has a long way to go

I wonder what's the most miles someone has ever put on their Ford.

1994 Ex Limited
222k and counting

Heads, rocker arms, and valves replaced. Transmission swapped (auto to manual)

I think I've got another 150k in her. Bought her at around 190k for 500

1993 Explorer with ~267K on it. Parents put the first 135K on it and gave it to me when I got my drivers license back in 2001 and I've added the rest. They maintained it okay, but I maintained it as much as I could when I got it. Trans tanked at 185K, engine was rebuilt at 195K but was perfectly fine when it was rebuilt, and could have gone much longer. I just wanted it to be tip top for when I went off to college and took it with me. The car has sat out on the back 40 for 4 years so it hasnt had any mileage put on it in that time

I have 257,000 on my 1991 ford explorer .Here is a pic of the new 3 core all aluminum rad. that I am thankful to FR-425 for sharing with us . It is a tank ,hit a deer doing 55 minor cosmetic damage . Goes in snow 3.73 ls . Dependable . PM thats the life of them .

mine is a 94 with 219. this weekend I changed the radiator , fan, clutch fan, all radiator hoses, belt just getting ready for a hot Texas summer

'99 Mounty - 254k
'06 Ex XLT - 181k

98 xlt (5.0l) = 113k

Buddy has a ranger with 489,000 on the original 2.9.

Still runs strong, surprisingly strong.

Just gave him the star-burst wheels off my Limited. They look better on the Ranger!

94 ex 425,000 still runs GREAT!!! LOVE FORD!

97'ex just 172000km or 115000 miles all original but overdrive :(

That makes two of us with heirloom cars. Make of that what you will.

93' Explorer Sport - 283,800 Miles as of this morning. Original everything except maintenance items, clutch master cylinder (recently replaced), radio, and the Tranny had a rebuild around 214-220K miles.

I've been spoiled (up until recently) by the reliability of this truck. I still have a goal to get it to 300,000 miles, even then, I kind of want to take it on as a project vehicle after I get a newer Ranger.
