ive got the bfg rugged trails and ive noticed that they seem to get great mileage. how many miles did everyone get out of theirs? ive got 99,000 so far.

and also what is a good aggressive MUD tire for the road that gets good mileage? (the more aggressive the better) i want mud tires but dont want the roaring (too bad) and dont want some that will run out in 30k

good luck compromising gnarly mud tires, and minimal road noise lol...

99,000 out of some BFG Rugged Fails !!!! wow

im more worried about getting more mileage than just 20 or 30k out of them than road noise... but ive still got a few miles left on em and they need to be retired but just dont have the $$$ but ive read on the bfg website a guy with a 3rd gen EB got in something upwards of 90k on the rugged trails ... theyre ugly and useless but get some damn good mileage out em

Did you buy your Ex used with the tires on it? Or have you put 99,000 miles on since you put the tires on? Sounds kinda like a Ferris Buellers Day off, letting the tires spin on jack stands doesn't count;)

BFGoodrich Mud terrians can last close to 50,000 miles if properly aired/rotated.

My friend has a set of Mickey Thompson MTZs on his Z71. They're not that loud on the street.

i did buy my x used and the tires were pretty worn down. i thought these were the 2nd set but as i started looking the stock bfgs were getting quite a bit of miles on them. (from other people i asked)

this was quoted from bfgs website:

June 15, 2010I am finally forced to replace my original tires after 99,914 miles. I was really hoping to see a sale on them, but considering the mileage, they have been pretty cost effective. I have kept an eye on the tire pressure and I drive pretty conservatively. That said, the truck has carried some pretty heavy loads, and has seen its share of off-road activity. Can't see buying anything else.

7 years and 65,000 miles on the original BFG's. They had a lot of tread left but were cracking from age.

5 years and 60,000 miles on the original BFG's. Still had tread left but only 4/32's or so, slippery in snow and the ride was getting harsh.

i dont have much tread left ... crazy rough ride but no snow to contend with:D

Bought a '04 XLT a few months back with Michelins on it; the tire shop claimed the code on them indicates they were factory installed. Vehicle had 94,000 mi., tires were worn evenly, about 1/8" tread left.

Think he was F.O.S.? I wondered. imp

i posted a typo in the beginning ... i only have 89xxx miles ... sorry but still pretty impressive though

That is because i have had bfg rugged trails for the life of the car 137000 i think i got 60000 60000 and the third set i only have about 37000 and almost no tread they have been aligned a bunch of times and rotated properly i wonder what happened? But i need new tires soon any suggestions i was thinking of breaking away. Any ideas?

no lift? if so try some bfg all terrains if you want miles out of them any get a little more aggressive look ... for street tires though try for some that guarantee the 50 or 60k

I have BFG Mud Terrains and love them... to me they are quiet as a mouse.

When passengers get in the car... they don't agree with me on the quietness!!!

how long have you had them koval? and how many miles do you have on them so far?

how long have you had them koval? and how many miles do you have on them so far?

They have 45,000 km's, and have a ton of tread left on them! They still look great and I still get looks at stop lights!

My fiance is sitting beside me and she just said, "they are not that loud."
