I'm curious how long everyone's X's are running. Please list your year, mileage, and what (if anything has been rebuilt). Who's running the longest on original engine & trans?

I'll start:
96 XLT 4.0 237xxx miles. Rebuilt engine 180xxx (myself); rebuilt trans 236xxx (tranny shop).

Radiator 150xx (I need to replace it again unfortunately); alternator 22?x..; other minor

2001 sport

82,693 miles on it and still original engine

1994 Explorer Eddie Bauer

187,000 miles original engine

Replaced tranny somewhere around 130,000 miles

(I failed to read that this was in the 1995 - 2001 section, so my explorer doesn't qualify here, You may delete this if its not supposed to be here!)

It's all good. Year doesn't matter, I'm interested in all gen X's.

2000 XLT 4x4 SOHC...140K..all original with no rebuilds.

98 XLT SOHV 64,000 miles. All's good so far, just put shocks in it.

1998 4X4, 220,000 km. tranny and engine original. Normal wear and tear ball joints etc....

'97 Sport -- 4.0 SOHC, Original trans (no overdrive though) -- 201,5XX miles. Motor runs like a top, trans is another story.

99 Sport SOHC 114,000 miles.

Original engine, rebuilt transmission at 105,000 (reverse went out on me)

Since I've owned it I've replaced the following:

Sway bar end links
Upper balljoints
Front & Rear brake pads/new rotors
Alternator
Belt tensioner
Serpentine belt
Center console lid (redid myself)
Fixed the AC (it didn't work when I bought it, I found a disconnected vaccum line and fixed it)

...and of course the rebuilt transmission

It sounds like a big list, but all and all not too bad. I did all of the work myself besides the transmission.

1997 XLT SOHC 123,000 Miles.

Only things I've replaced are the tires and timing chain set to the upgraded version.

1995 XLT 4wd 156,x.. miles: original Engine 3rd transmission and the O/D light is flashing again!!!!! LOTS of Towing

2001 Explorer sport 4wd 90,000 miles: original engine 2nd transmission

93 Explorer XLT 4x4 147K

What's been done:
---New alternator
---New starter

What it needs:
---New Muffler
---New fuel pump wouldn't hurt
---trans rebuild prolly couldn't hurt
---fix door frames
---new side molding
---new 4wd shift motor

Previous owner did not take very good of it at all.

03 Mountaineer AWD V8 66K

What's been done:
---New trans servos/solenoid packs
---Gear and pinion in the rear diff
---New heating grid for Driver's heated seat

What it needs:
---Rear wheel bearings
---Eventually going to need a trans rebuild down the road; thanks Ford!!

So basically I've had no un-common issues, just the usual 3rd gen crap....

99 Mounty AWD V8 Mobil 1 5W30 180,000 normal fixes, Dry engine no leaks, ever. Drive it every day. Pulls a big boat and goes on the beach alot.

Ok,so I'm a year off,but I have an '02 Mazda B4000 4x4 that my dad bought brand new in '02. It has the 4.0L SOHC and 5 speed. I recently bought it off him this summer with 379 000km and I now currently have just over 396 000km on the original engine and tranny.

This has been one of the most bulletproof vehicles he or I have ever owned. He liked this one so much he went out and bought a 2008 after I bought the '02 off him.

Around 180k,the slave cylinder was replaced,as was another part in the transmission. It is still on the original clutch, 2nd set of brakes,2nd set of tires (soon to be 3rd in a few weeks). Coming up for new brakes in the spring probably. Synchros are feeling a little worn, but still shifts good.

Body and interior look more like it only has 160 000km on it. My dad took great care of this truck and the only major repairs done have been warranty work. This truck has never failed either one of us.

All I can say,is a vehicle like this is why I am a Ford guy.
