How many qts of fluid for initial 5r55s fill?

I just got done installing a rebuilt 5r55s in my Explorer and I'm not sure how much fluid I should put in it initially. I know it holds 12 qts, but obviously that won't all fit in the pan. Is it ok to put in more than the 5 qts the pan holds for the first startup and then add more as it's running or should I just fill it with 5 qts initially?

You can just put in the 5 qts then start the engine and finish filling the tranny, you won't hurt anything.
