How many Quarts ?

How many quarts would I expect to put in a 5r55w when doing a transmission filter change ?

Also, are the original transmission filters stamped Ford / Motorcraft ?

If you are just in-and-out with the filter and wiping down the pan, probably 4-5 quarts. Drop the valve body and let it all drain for awhile, you could need as much as 8 quarts.
