how to program a alarm remote on a 94??

i got a 94 limited and i bought it with no remotes for the factory alarm ..i bought 2 used ones from a wrecker but im not sure how to make them work ...the guy told me to do a key dance wich was to turn the ignition on and off as fast as i could 5 times and with the ignition on hit the unlock button on my remote..i have tryed this many times with 2 different pads and no luck....can anyone help me with this.....thanks alot.....
