I need to remove the rear bumper cover on my 2005 Eddie Bauer 4WD with a factory class III/IV hitch built into the steel bumper. Taking stock of the fasteners, I see:
- The plastic rivet-type things along the flange that runs along the bottom and partly up the sides of the hatch opening.
- Two bolts under each taillight assembly
- A screw/clip near the bottom of each flange that buts up against the quarter panel.
Does anyone know if this is all I'll have to remove to get the cover off? I see some things that look like they might be metal rivets down inside where the bumper cover abuts the quarter panels, but I can't tell if they're actually holding the bumper cover on the vehicle, or holding some bracket to the cover that would come off with the cover itself.
