how to remove spray tint and clear coat..

i spray tinted my 3rd brake light, but the more times i see it the more jacked up it looks...so i was wondering what i would use to remove it. i've tried gas but that didn't work..
I Want to remove the spray tint from teh 3rd brake light and start over.

maybe some sort of paint thinnner, used cautiously around the body of the X

any help is appreciated

Best solution is to run the the junk yard and pick up one.

Next best would be to remove it and use a buffer and some high cut polish, working your way down to low cut polish. Not sure how it will turn out though.

the 3rd brake light in my 97 is intergrated into teh tail gate and i think replacing it would be very difficult.

ok well then mask off the rest of the body and try the buffer. I figure if it can get rid of extra touchup paint and scratches it should be able to remove paint from plastic.
