How To Remove Stubborn Exterior Dirt?

My 1996 Explorer 4D XLT has been sitting idle for most of the last seven years. I now have it back on the road as my daily driver.

I'd wash it every so often, just to keep its appearance decent (stored outside). A few months ago, I ~really~ washed it ... then had a local hand wash go over it as best they could (and I got my $20 worth, that is for sure).

There are noticeable lines of grime on places like the window seals. What can I use to get rid of this stuff, without harming the paint or trim parts?

I'll try to get a photo of it later today. TIA.

Denatured alcohol works well for rubber stuff like weatherstripping and window seals. Its slow though, but doesn't damage stuff like that. Just get some soft shop towels and soak them, then keep using new ones until its all clean.
