Howdy folks,

04 explorer XL 95K 3 differential failures, 2 front wheel bearing assembles.
03 explorer differential failure.
92 explorer good vehical traded off due to R12 A/C issue at 175K.
93 S-10 blazer Good vehical! Son rolled it at 165K miles.
82 F150 electronic ignition without proper heatsink. Big problem.
80 Mustang with 4 cylinder turbo. Engine leaking oil everwhere @20K
78 F250 smogged out. No power. Differential failure @ 20k
69 Camero RS wish I still had this car. Had hideaway headlights.
67 Falcon Futura 1st car.

Any body know how to get around the 02-04 differential problem?
I'm up to swapping, but do not know what year, make, model to get
a donor from.

From what I can gather on the net, the possible culprit is a aluminum
alloy case. Any body got any ideas???

Thanks,
Yeegad

Howdy, All differential repair was done at Horizon Auto in Rockwall. I trust them & have been a customer for several years. They found a program error in the ECM that caused my 04 explorer to "lurch" every single time I started from a stop. This error had NOT been solved by the dealership I purchased the vehical from and I had almost given up on ever getting it fixed. What Horizon Auto told me was that one year Ford experimented with "drive by wire" and that there was no physical connection between the accellerator pedal and the fuel injection air intake. They did a extensive research on my vehical and found a updated ECM code that FIXED THE PROBLEM. They are in my humble opinion the best. They have so far replaced one diffirential under warrenty and that one is now in significant failure. The differentials they used were taken from wrecked vehicals. I don't know their condition, but they all were quite when first installed and had a 12month/12K mile warranty on the parts. Horizon says they replace 1-2 ford exp differentials per month.

best regards,
