I recently noticed that my HVAC temp does not seem to be as hot as it use to be. On max heat it feels like it might be a measly 50 - 60 degrees F. I started to notice this shortly after i received a check engine light for my coolant temperature sensor. I am not sure if the problem may be a result of this sensor being bad or possibly bad blend door or thermostat. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check the hoses going into the heater core. Both should be as hot as the engine coolant. On a clogged up core, one hose will often be cold compared to the other.

Thermostat issues will usually be noticeable by the temp gauge. If the engine never reaches normal operating temperature due to cold temps and a stuck open thermostat, you have no heat to run through the heater core.

Sensor will not affect the HVAC system.
